The Montreal Association of Insurance
Women was founded in 1963 under the presidency of Mildred Jones.
The first decade of the MAIW – 1963 to 1973 was a period
of organization marked in 1966 by the formation of the Canadian
Association of Insurance Women.
The MAIW is a non-profit organization with the
following objectives:
- Promote and coordinate practical
and educational programs in order to encourage its members
to seek the highest level of knowledge in the field of insurance
as well as business management.
- Incite a candid loyalty and friendly relations
amongst its members and make them aware of the needs
and requirements of their colleagues.
