Mildred Jones Award

Montreal Association of Insurance Women (MAIW) was created in 1963 because of a woman’s vision to build amicable and professional relationships between the women working in the Insurance Industry. This woman was Mildred Jones. The Mildred Jones Award was created in 1993, on the thirtieth anniversary of MAIW.

This award is given to a woman who distinguishes herself by her professionalism and her involvement in the Insurance Industry. The candidates are proposed by their peers or any other person in the Industry. The laureate receives the Mildred Jones Award during the Institut d’assurance de dommages du Québec Annual Gala.

Nomination rules:

Any woman working in the insurance industry can be nominated as a candidate.

Anyone can nominate a candidate

The winner must be present when the award will be given at the Institut d’assurance de dommages du Québec’s Annual Gala on March 28, 2012. In the event of a major impediment, the award could be presented to the nominee.

It is not necessary for the candidate to be a member of the MAIW; however if she is a member she will be awarded additional points.

Only the official proposal form will be considered.

Include a recent resume of the candidate to the proposal.

The proposals must be sent to the MAIW ex-officio president.

The proposals must be received no later than January 31st, 2012. Only the proposals presented on the official proposal form will be considered.
